Looking for possible upgrades for my ego 8 to make it a smoother shooter and up to par with newer tourney guns

It has currently: zick 2 kit, techt hush bolt, violent trigger, virtue grips, and a deathstix barrel kit sitting on it. I am wondering if it is worth it to buy a new board, and perhaps a new reg?

I am also looking at finding some stock grips for it as it came with panel grips.
It doesnt shoot that bad but it needs some tuning and i want to fend off the temptation to ditch it for a g6r.

Also does anyone know if there has been any blade triggers made for the ego 8 platform? Or at least something close to it.

Ok so i got an ego 8 and the display is out. I have the chance to get a fairly cheap virtue LED board for it or a stock board for it for pretty much the same price. I dont really care if it has the screen even though it is nice for doing settings. What is the point of getting the Virtue over the stock board and is it worth it if im playing PSP and other PSP type tourneys?

The Stock board will do just fine for playing tourneys.
With your screen going out, if you can get an after market board cheaper than a stock board that's fine too.

Honestly the benefits of an aftermarket board to aren't there.
The only thing it adds is different modes, and some "Drilling modes" on the newer virtue OLED.
Stock is the way to go IMO.

do the stock 08 boards do 12.5 bps or does it only do whole number bps like 12, 13, 14?

the stock board does the half numbers. I always set my board lower than the cap though, because I've seen boards that are set right on the cap go over and cause penalties.

Yes, the SL3 should be more consistent, and allow you to shoot your tank down to empty more consistently.

The SL (SL74/8R), the SL2 (SL94/SLS) and Shaft3 (Ego9/10) will all work with your stock front. The kit that will flow with the lines of your marker the most is probably the SL kit (74/8R style).

Any Ego bolt is interchangable, it just will not contour to the body in the same way.

So I got an Ego 08 and want to know if there is a visual comparison of upgrade parts with differences for the gun (i.e. Cure Bolt vs. Cure 3 or 3+, Hush, Zick vs. Zick2, etc.). I saw one in the Etek thread and it would be nice to have one for Egos.

I want to know what the different parts look like at a glance to identify what parts my marker has. I think a Cure bolt is stock along with Zick but wanted to make sure that is what I really have in it. Thanks.

hello i am new to ego just wondering wat should i upgrade
if i'm getting a ego 8 or ego 9
wondering the HUSH gen2 bolt will work for both gun or not?
what is Zick kit if the gun didn't come with it should i get it? or if there is better some kind of kit.
beside that what else i should look for.
