Hello, looking at tunning up a PGP and a P-series i got.

does anyone know the stock, or even better, tuned, spring specs? namely, free length, and spring rate? got the guns used, so dont know if there stock springs or not etc....

Tuned springs are very subjective on the PGPS.
If anything, you want fresher, not 20 year old worn springs.

To increase the efficiency of the PGPs/P-series, you have to drill the valve and do various other mods.

A top of the line PGP can do 35-40 shots off a 12vie

Bingo! i may actually have springs on hand that conform to OEM specs, but not having any new OEM springs, or specs for them... i cant tell if there what i want/need

the asking for "tuned" spring specs, i figure if do go about doing some valve work etc... the springs i have on hand may work for that as well. (ive got ALOT of springs i can use)

ive done alot of reading into the the valve work, hammer weights etc... but i have yet to see spring specs

p.s. i dont want to pay $7 +~7 shipping for a a pair of springs, when that $14 and buy me ~dozen of them when i know the specs

You'd have to throw a thread on MCB in the sheridan section for that info. I've had valve work on my one pgp and the springs were stock.

funny you say that... as i did... about a week ago... pretty much the same post as this one :/ not a single reply!

so no one seams to know? or those who do, dont want to share?

i may end up buying a set and posting up there specs...

Well it's a weird situation. The most common route is the stock main spring and then you have the stock valve spring within the valve area. Having a heavier/lighter main spring only messes with the FPS.

What really makes a tuned PGP or any sheridan for that matter is the valve work which increase the efficiency/shot count.

The springs themselves, I don't see any vast improvements.
