New to the area

Just moved up here from Fl. Living in Brambleton and was looking for a place to play. Is Pev's a viable option? I dont see much chatter on PBN about it in recent months.

Thanks

welcome to the DC area, what do you mean "viable"? played walk on there last weekend (first time out since i moved back). It was good fun, however at this point im nothing but a casual player... there are numerous teams that practice at pev's, as well as tournaments. There is a 3-man team tourny on sunday the 25th (next weekend), may be a good time to scope out the level of play?

Oli, by viable I mean an option worth the time and effort to go. After posting in the Virginia forum a few people replied and I realized there was an NPPL event last weekend, so I headed out there on Friday and Sunday. Pev's is one of the best venues I have seen and only about 15 minutes away,so that's a bonus in itself.
I plan on heading out there this Sunday and checking out the 3 man as well as playing walk-on games .
Thanks for the reply, maybe I'll see you out there sometime.

I also just moved to the area (live in Herndon) and i'm more of a casual player. I used to play a lot in high school, but I haven't played in at least 4 or 5 years. Still got my timmy classic and 12v revy hopper with jt slam collar/pack!
