This is a long time over due and should ad an increased level of consistency to our series.
This should be done in a manner that only increases entry a very small amount if any.
Keeping the MSXL the most affordable Regional Championship Series remains our primary goal!!!
Also we are adopting a rule that teams will be required to shoot paint from MSXL approved paint manufactures exclusively. We already have DXS on board and will offer a promotional package to all other major manufacturers similar to what PSP offers and ask for them to help support our league and keep paintball affordable. This will help keep the players cost to participate down. If a manufacturer doesn't want to show support for the MSXL and our teams we done want to support them by allowing them to profit from paint sales to you to be used at our events.
More to come.
No more byop boys.
I call bs. These changes will boost the cost of the event.
thats not an issue at all. Get rid of that crown for sure man. just try to get what you can for it lol, before it caves in from you looking at it
I will not be using the crown portion. I don't have a stock lid for either rotor, so I was thinking of picking up the crown "rain-lid" for emergencies, and stashing it in my gearbag.
The fellow I purchased it from apparently sprayed it down with black krylon. When I disassembled it for cleaning, I noticed the white accents underneath. 1/2hr and some stolen acetone later, the white accents are visible on the top. I may scrub the rest of the shell at some point in the future.
I installed the Seed rtr kit today. My first impressions are very favorable. I went out of my way to try and jam the rotor, and it passed with flying colors. In the video, you will see a few pictures of the install process, followed by a reball test, and a paint test. The manual states that because of the board logic, drop tests are slow, but that the board will match the speed of your shots on a maker. This goes hand in hand with my actual observations.
With the reballs, I felt the occasional stutter (where with the stock rotor it would jam) in the feed. I suspect they were jams that the board cleared quickly. It was very nice.
With paint, I used an absolutely disgusting mix of old JT hydro, draxxus field grade, and XO white box. I fully expected it to seize the rotor up. However, it shot ropes. The loader is every bit as fast as it ever has been, with the added benefit of no discernible jams (which is what I was hoping for out of the box).

I also put a little elbow grease into the v1 rotor. First, I finished removing the nappy black spray paint. I then pitched the virtue crown to the side, and added a couple pieces that came with the rotor upgrade package from ans.
I added a v3 prop, a km spine, and a good game loader padding kit. Hopefully, it will become a serviceable loaner/backup.
I used the v3 seed/virtue soft cycle upgraded rotor at practice today. I shot 2 cases of draxxus factory seconds today. The quality of the paint was what one would expect from seconds.
The seed kit performed flawlessly. I never had a jam or discernible stutter in a stream of paint. It was amazing. Several of my teammates rotors jammed with the same paint. I am very pleased with the performance of the seed/soft cycle combo.
Special shout-out to the 120 guys. Thanks for helping set-up the field, and practicing with us.

It was quite nice. Thanks for letting me
jump in today. I really appreciated the pointers you guys gave Really good group to play with.
It was great to have you out mashing with us. Your always welcome here.
Oh. My. God.
I'm going to start finding silver/grey paintball gear (preferably in small or x-small so it fits super tight). Next time I'm out expect that and a hawk beak on the front of my mask... Maybe a hawk on the front of my hopper too.
I wonder if I can wire my gun to make a screech whenever I pull the trigger...

Yes. yes. yes. That is pretty much the best idea ever.
