Hey Guys Advice on NDFS7
I have an offer for this gun for my 06 silver PEVS ego slightly upgraded... http://www.pbnation.com/showthread.php?t=3669605. Should I trade my ego for that NDFS7? Are they high maintenance? I always wanted to try a freestyle. Lmk what you guys think.
Thanks

Freestyles are great when they work. Super smooth, consistent, everything you could ask for. When they don't work, they're a nightmare. Unless you like working on your gun all the time, I would advise against it unless he adds a lot. Also, if you play tourney ball, most of the boards for the FS cannot ramp 12.5 or slower. They ramp at 15.

Once you have a freestyle shooting, you leave it alone. You should then have no problems.

I would ask him to add. 250 is way high for that. The most I have paid for a used freestyle is 275 and it blows that one out of the water.
Freestyles work great, but you have to be able to balance the regulators. If you can't do that, forget about it. I clean and lube my freestyles after every use. I guess that is high maintenance by today's standards, but it does not bother me.
Kila drive boards do 12 BPS or so. Chaos boards might and I am pretty sure that Nox boards can be adjusted to 12.5 BPS.
My advice: Keep your ego and buy a freestyle when you have some spare cash. If you don't like the freestyle, you can sell it and not feel ripped off.

Good idea guys. Thanks for the advice. Decided to keep the ego, and I shot it today. It shot great!

Check out ICDO for ICD gear. There are several freestyles for sale in the BST. They seem to come up for sale in groups.
There is a link to ICDO in my sig.

yah ICDO is where you should hang out if looking for ICD items.
As mentioned the Freestyles are great when running, they can hang with the best guns out there that are 5 years newer, but they are slightly higher maintenance than others like macdev or PE.
And yes there are a cpl boards that can do current PSP settings, you have to manually "Make" a setting on the NOX boards and the KILA has a preset option I think.
good luck with what you decide

You can make the predator boards ramp at 12.

If you can find a NOX Reloaded board, or something NOX of that flavor you can get CFOA Mode and copy those settings over to a "Custom" Mode. I think I managed to set mine at 14. That was a bad idea. I was out of Air in NO time.
