And unless you'd have the eye of the storm in view (which would be good for pictures yes), it wouldn't really be THAT much different then you're everyday thunderstorm.

rain covers for cameras are like $6 for 2 and IMO it'd be completely worth it, even right after it passes, then again it might be because I'm into the whole photojournalism thing.

I'm not saying i wouldn't do it because I don't want anything to get wet. I'm saying I wouldn't because it wouldn't be anything amazing. Rain. Wind. Same thing as a regular thunderstorm, just on a much larger (and bigger) scale. Sure maybe after you could get pics of flooded areas.. Idk.

Ehhh. I guess.. No where close to the ocean, although the hudson river is really close. Which is where I'd go if I really wanted to go out and take pictures.

News just has to make it seem as big as possible so they get publicity.

From the latest update I've read, by the time it hits Westchester County it won't even be a Category 1. It'll just be a tropical storm.

Not really, what I get from it. Subways will be swimming pools.
