Monitors images "flashing"

Had this problem for a while now, but I' moved and would like to get a solid setup sense I'm changing it all anyways. I'm running dual monitor setup and the images on the monitors keep flashing off and then back on. There doesn't seem to be any consistency to it, sometimes it's only once or twice an hour, sometimes it's a dozen times in a couple min then nothing for a couple hours.

I'm not doing anything extreme with the machine and it's tough to see in it's the monitors, or the comp. I'm assuming it's the video card, because it's effecting both monitors (not simultaneously), but it doesn't last long enough to receive "no input" type error.

I'm also running a KVM control switch on the primary monitor, which I assume is the issue, because it gets real bad when I run the 2nd computer, but it still doesn't explain why the 2nd monitor is flashing too.

I'm going to swap out the video card to see if that helps, but im hoping someone cal help.

it may not be the video card.

I have a pc that does it (older gigbyte p35) mb. it due to the ram and the chipset. I have some good crusial ram in the system but this and some other older boards dont work 100 percent with the ram. if i start tasking the system (more then one widow open for surfing or playing mp3 in the background).
i get the windows Aero desktop flash and drop to old version then unhang and go back to were you can see throught the icons. if you have a bad stick of ram you can run memtest when you go to bed and see if there any errors in the am. if the ram is running at it default rate check the ram voltage control and see what it reading and what your ram needs. some mb are off a few .01 volts.sometimes turning the ram voltage up will stop it. ie the ram rated for 1.6v in the bios turn it up to 1.7 or 1.8.
