I checked the sticky.....I promise.
Just got my first Quest and it seems to have the oldest chip in it. Found the link in the sticky for that manual but it seems to be down or broken. Was wondering if anybody in here might still have a saved copy they could hook me up with or put me in the direction of a good link to that manual. I have checked Inoviq's side and will be sending them a message shortly about getting it through them, just thought I might get lucky and someone here might have on.
Thanks, Ex.

Sorry, I wasn't good and clear, the oldest Inoviq chip is what i have. Didn't realized until after I posted this that the WAS board were the original stock boards. I've got an email into Inoviq now just waiting to here back now.

Guess I am going to have to, got an email response from Inoviq, ( Nicholas Wong ) and he doesn't even have a manual for that old a chip.

The Inoviq boards were actually the original stock boards, but then FEP switched to WAS (and later on they switched to Lucky boards, and later still, back to Inoviq). Unfortunately, most versions of the Quest manual that you will come across online refer to the WAS board.

Yeah, is said that what I described sounded like an old prototype code for FEP and that he didn't have a manual because the coding had been revised so much since then. I went ahead and ordered a VX chip, just hope it gets here by the weekend.

The original chip has a minimum rate of fire setting of 14bps, so you would need a new chip for current PSP rules anyway. However, just in case you want to give the old chip a try just for the hell of it, I found the following thread were a member wrote a very brief synopsis of the original Quest manual, complete with board instructions: -

Knew we had the info somewhere - just took a while to find it.

Thanks, UG. That is somewhat similar to the current set ups I have found. At this point I am starting to think that the chip has a glitch in it or it's not an Inoviq chip. The menu colors are not in sequence to any listings I have found or shown. I guess I can mess with the chip I have until the VX gets here and I'll prolly check some of the other manuals in the sticky to see if the menu colors on this chip match somebody else's chip.
Edit::: K, I guess I should have mentioned that I have a Texas Storm Quest. That being said, I checked the manual for the Hater chip and it doesn't match the led menu on my chip. I tried to find a NOX Unleashed manual but evidently the NOX site is no longer up. In any regard I should be good to go with the VX when it comes in.

Thanks UG, unfortunately that's not it either. That just about rules everything except the old Inoviq chip out.
