Tiberius, no.

Tacamo, yes...

Also sold here...

Though the early one's shipped had the usual first run issues (the first run of EVERY piece of paintball gear is full of flaws). Hopefully they'll get the bugs worked out when they ships out the next batch in the end of October.

The conversion kit has a D shaped breech for the FS rounds, but the current magazine can only use normal paint. They're supposedly working on magazines that can take the FS rounds, and are apparently way less expensive than any other magazine out there. They're calling them D mags (for the shape of the rounds they can take, and that they're cheap enough you can Drop them and not worry if you can't find them all later). Of course there were a ton of delays in the conversion kits, so who knows how long before we see a reliable magazine.

From what I saw the first conversion kits that went out didn't come with a D shaped breach. Word was that the D shaped breaches would become available around the same time as the D mags.

Disclaimer: Fubarius may have more up to date info than I do. If so I hope he shares the links with us... Currently, I'm holding back on the kits till the cheap D mags arrive and it's confirmed they work with FS rounds.

At the largest part of the fins my caliper measures them at .687

There's a perpetual debate on how tight or loose FS rounds should fit. Not that there isn't good discussion here ... but there's quite a bit on the official manufacture's Tib forums regarding the bore sizing for FS rounds.

Personally, for something like a Tippmann fitted with the Mag kit ... I'd overbore. I'd want a smooth transition from the breach to the barrel. I fear that too tight a barrel would cause the fins to catch. On the Tiberius line the breach IS the barrel. Much like the classic automags. Since there's no transition from a big breach to a smaller barrel I'm more comfortable testing tighter bores.

Most of my info came from this review...
http://www.mcarterbrown.com/forums/m...er-review.html

Here's the D shaped opening on the bottom of new body...

(linked since it's a pretty big image)

While I have a couple Model98's laying around that are just begging for a conversion, I'm holding off for a while. I'll let the early adopters work all the bugs out of the system. So this is a "next spring" project for me.

Thanks for the link.

Looks like the metal breach is cut for the first strike compatibility. However from the photos you linked, the mag-well is not. Unless that was just an anomaly in that kit, it looks like early adopters will need to add something else for the D mags.

From reading the word "round" clip design, I immediately thought of this:

Not sure how relevant this is to what you're asking, but I still find the idea for first strike 'style' rounds fascinating.
