Apparently it's "Jon" so I had it wrong too.
Herman Cain is scoring points tonight. He's a powerful speaker for sure, probably the best pure speaker in the group by a mile.

Thank GOD! A GOP candidate says that the FED had something to do with the recession, and it wasn't just the dems and Clinton. Newt Gingritch is making moves tonight

Santorum is just digging his on grave. Ron blew him out of the water tonight.
I think the people who did the best were
1 - Ron Paul
2 - Newt Gingrich
3 - Herman Cain
4 - Jon Huntsman
5 - Mitt Romney
6 - Michelle Bachmann
7 - Tim Pawlenty
8 - Rick Santorum
People can hate Paul, but the guy hammered two opponents, and had the crowd supporting him. Newt at least sounded smart, was smart, and crowd knew it. Also called the FED as you stated Matt. Herman Cain helped his cause, as did Huntsman. Romney just tread water, probably for the best. Didn't think Michelle did much, but I'm sure she'll be considered the winner. Her and Pawlenty should go have an affair and go away.

This guy was in charge of an entire state? Seriously?
Newt probably won tonight in hingsight. He really just looked ridiculously smarter than anyone. Romney sounded good, but Paul and Huntsman did better in terms of moving up because they were less well known.

I really wasn't impressed with Bachman, which isnt surprising since I already have a very negative opinion of her. She is basically a Tea Party cheerleader; she can rally the troops, and can speak a big game, but when questioned, she just resorts to talking points and ideas that were generated from her colleagues. I'm sorry, but I'm not going to forego a Harvard graduate for someone who cannot even articulate her own ideas to major issues.
Paul, Gingritch, and Romney did the best IMO. Huntman gave some good points too.

Paul and Gingrich won. Paul hammered opponents, Gingrich finally pooled together his experience in a coherent form. Romney treaded water and did fine. Bachman and Pawlenty both lost from their back and forth tirade over semantics IMO.

I really wish Pawlenty would just go build a farm or something and go away. He's quickly becoming the GOP version of Al Sharpton.

Seriously. On the Fox News "poll" online post debate hes losing to Huntsman for dead last. That's just plain sad. Whats worse is how much time he hogged tonight over nothing and seemingly no support.

I'll take Cain or Paul over Obama. Romney and Bachman come off like more of the same talking heads. Especially Bachman. Sucks Johnson wasn't in this debate. I want to hear more from him.

Why didn't Johnson attend?
Romney is going to win because everybody else is attacking each other while he chills. I'm favoring Bachmann and like Cain. Pawlenty, Santorum, and Huntsman have all peaked. Perry should stay out, he sucks.

According to his website because of CNN.
I like Cain simply because he doesn't come off as a career politician. Paul has the brains of the bunch though.
Edit: nvm that was from a previous debate. Last night it was on Fox.

Gary Johnson is my homeboy.
edit: If Paul has the brains why does he support complete decriminalization/legalization of drugs? You said such a position is silly.

No I said objectionism is silly. Get it right before you get banned again for trying to derail the thread with more of your drug talk.

So either way you disagree with quite a few of Paul's policies but you support him anyway...just like you jumped on Obama's bandwagon. Interesting.

Not trying to troll, so quit derailing the thread with accusations.
Anyway, to the serious posters here, how much of an influence do you think modern libertarianism will have in the public debates?
