Offical Car Care/Detailing thread
I figured this would stop the threads and would be a helpful guide to look back to.
I have a little scratches and I was wondering what I can do to hide them/make them go away. They aren't deep and they aren't too noticable, it's just I know they are there and it annoys me. I was looking into Scratch-X and not sure if that stuff works.
For what I can contribute to the thread:
Don't use ICE anything. it's all garbage.
Klasse is an awesome line
Meguiars PlastX works awesome on headlights and only costs ~7.00 at any local autostore
Use Microfiber towels! When buying have a blank cd with you and test the towels on it, if it leaves ANY scratches at all DON'T BUY IT simple as that
Interior Cleaning and Conditioning
Leather Care
Proper Wash/Dry Techinque
Circular/Rotary Polishing Guide
Dual actualion PolisherTrim and Molding Care
Wheel/Tire Detail

Yes. It is nice to have a local store that has most of Autogeeks line and anything else worth mentioning in stock.

Bought some Aquartz Titanium. Really excited to try it out when I get a chance.

Autoality FTW. Since I've become aware of them, I haven't bought anything from anywhere else. They are legit. I honestly don't even see myself using my PepBoy's employee discount to buy detailing supplies, I'd still rather pay for the good stuff.

Id try 50/50 white vinegar and water first. If that doesn't work try straight vinegar
If there's still etching after that it'll need to be polished out

The passenger side of my Camaro, the paint feels dry, as if there isn't a clear coat there anymore. Slight peeling down behind the door
I assume that i should not be using a polishing compound anymore?
