Just a wake surfboard. My girlfriends dad is the CFO of Slingshot Sports (creator of that board, and many other kiteboarding/water sports products) so I had some people ride that board and snapped some shots of it for em

Connections are really the best way to get places in photography, I've had a lot of jobs come up from knowing people.

YEahhh! Which sucks about LA, feels like I know a lot of connected people, but I just love it up here too much.
Had my first gallery show today, went so well it was a great experience seeing people view my work and ask questions about it and be genuinely interested in what I created. Cool stuff Photos later

Had a bit of a tragedy a while back. My Canon 1DS Mark III was water damaged beyond repair due to accidentally being placed under a wet cloth. My 1d IV survived the same treatment due to having no cracks in the rear LCD, and not missing the small rubber, circular cover on the right side. I might be dumb enough ruin a $7000 camera, but not dumb enough to not have insurance. Thanks to TCP insurance, I will be able to replace my III in the very near future. I would suggest insurance to everyone who cares about their camera gear. They saved my tail! Kinda a bummer I put my gear in dangerous shooting situations weekly, and have never had any catastrophic damage while actually shooting. Just while half asleep and forgetting where my cameras were...:/ Either way, here are some photos of the carnage, enjoy!

all of that from a wet cloth? I thought it happened from falling in the lake or something..makes you question canon's "weather sealing"

It was covered by a wet towel thing all night, and it sorta created a pool. The rear LCD screen had a small crack in it as well as the rubber plug on the side was missing and just taped shut. The 1d IV was undamaged and sitting right next to it.
