Pyroman, any ideas for making a 3 man series that is open to all ages ? Or I have heard talk about some kind of class/practice where the old guys get to teach us new schoolers ?

Here lies the problem; Two people with three different ideas. What we need is a solid group of players that can come together that want to play the same type of tournament.
Series are very hard to keep going, one day events are much easier. Ill talk to "The MAN" and see what he thinks. We have been talking about more toutnaments at Fox, but everyone has their own idea on what they want, and we just havnt been able to put anything together yet. We have even talked about an "Old School Woodsballs style Tournament", just need players.

+1 for 5man. I think you would attract a lot of players if you had an affordable 5 man tournament. I know so many players that wanna play 5 man but they don't have 500+$ to get their team into PSP or NPPL that only happens once a year in your area.

I LOVE the 3 man tourney's that you guys put on. Always have! Maybe you could do one on hyperball, one on airball, and one on a similar taped section of woods. Sort of like a holy trinity of paintball lol. It just seems that open 3 man tourneys always get more turnout than the 5 man. Could be in part b/c some teams can then put in two lines (3 man) instead of one and a couple of reserve players (5 man). Either way I can't wait to hear more!

people drive to PEKIN for a decent tournament.

organize it, market it, and make it fun. NO HYPERBALL, NO WOODS, NO RAMPING. Make it fun by having blown up bunkers, fields with some grass on it, remove the rocks, fill the holes, and most importantly take down the nets in the winter.

The solid group of players is in chicagoland, they've just gone elsewhere. They practice at CPX with lsd running the show or at badlandz. Which brings me to another point. If you build it (and maintain it!!!!!!~!), they will come.

We have bunkers, we have grass & SOD, we dont have rocks, there are no holes, and putting up and taking down 2000' of 20' netting and 1000' of 10' netting may sound like fun, but trust me, ive done it, MANY TIMES, and it sucks. Seems to do more damage putting up and taing down. Besides, we have no place to store all that netting, and mice love nesting in netting over the winter too.

We have built it, we maintain it, we even ran $2k worth of power and airlines to the Pits. Tourny play is just down right now, and not enough players to go around for every field out there.
Not the first time we have seen a low in tourny play. Happens every 3 to 4 years. Were already on the upside of this as we have seen alot more teams back at Fox over the past few months.

I think you need to put down field turf and have a 5 man tourney with $10 entry per team and $100000000000 first prize

Normally, yes. We were averaging 20-40 players on Wednesdays and Fridays. HOWEVER, this heat has been KILLA on everyone. We were closed the past two Wednesdays, and even last Friday. We were there working, but I sure dont blame the players for not coming out lately.

Sure rained like a MOTHA down there this morning. Damn near jumped out of my skin when those lightning strikes came crashing through.
ALOT of rain in a very short period of time, yet, the field plays on. Still had Private Games, still had Open Play, still had Team Practice. Every field was open, and ZERO flooding.
It ended up being a really nice day once the rain stopped (Which was at about 10am).
