Heat Warning... PLEASE READ

NOTICE FROM OXCC & the GPL/MAPL
HEAT WARNING!!!

We would like to remind players that this weekend we will be having extreme heat warning’s. OXCC has, worked most of the days running electric for fans and has added an additional big area cooling fan. We’ve installed 8 fans in the pavilion, installed a cooling/shower station and we will be adding an additional cooling misting station. KIMOS will be here with their shaved ice and we will have lots of extra 5 gal jugs of ice water stationed all over. We have been in touch with our local fire station and we will either have a EMT on site or will have them on stand-by, no more than 2 miles away in case of heat illness. However OXCC and the MAPL would like to remind our players that proper hydration before any strenuous activity starts the day/evening before. PLEASE remember to drink plenty of water starting the day before event 3 and then throughout the competition. Additionally, our tournament Director Cyndi Poole wants to inform all the players and visitors to ask any OXCC or MAPL employee for assistance if you feel that maybe you pushed too hard and need to get out of the sun and heat. We will have dedicated carts and employees to give anyone a ride to a special area set up in our air conditioned building in order to help you recover from the heat and stress that is predicted for this weekend’s tournament. Our customers safety is our number one priority and we are doing as much as possible to help all of our customers make it through this weekend’s event.

**UPDATE**

We added a new walk through mister station for everyone to use. It will be located right next to field 6, also we will have many 5 gal jugs of FREE ICE WATER that I promise will not run dry. We have plenty of bags of ice for sale (cheap) If anyone needs bags of Ice, just ask a staff person and we will bring it to you right away. We have huge air movers (fans) and added more for this weekend. Our Paint will be kept in cold storage THANK YOU VALKEN and we suggest that all players do your best to protect your purchased paint from the elements by using coolers or some kind of portable storage to keep your paint in throughout the day.

make sure to keep your tanks cool so you won't blow a burst disk cuz that would suck so keep your tanks in a nice cool place and your paint as well since good quality paint can turn into monster balls or have dimples if left in the heat. just make sure you have extra burst disk LP 1.8k, HP4.5k for 3k tanks, and HP7.5k for those 4.5k tanks just incase your tanks get overheated and overpressure to where one of them blows.
