What is a good quality lift for an 01 Wrangler 4.0? I have had plans on lifting and rebuilding my TJ a bit for some heavier off-road use but haven't done so b/c I didn't have the money and I didn't know which companies to stick with.

What kind of tires can I fit with my jeep fenders on and off? Its all stock no body or suspension lift.

Figured I'd show off the new suspension I did last week.

Poly performance frame brackets and lower axle brackets. Used the same truss I've been using. I decided to stick with "short arms" to keep them out of the rocks. Built the upper arms from 1.75"x.125" wall DOM. Currie JJ at frame end. Ruffstuff rod ends at axle. Using my Currie lowers with JJ's at both ends for the lowers. Performs excellent, very nice squat characteristics when climbing steep, rocky walls.

TUCKED.

No cutting necessary. Just unbolted the muffler at the flange. Don't have room for the muffler so I'm just running a turn down pipe to the edge of the skid until I decide to do something else.

This is my friends jeep. His concern is going fast, not so much the trails. Still totally trail capable though.

I'm either going to go this route or run the teraflex prerunner setup when I get my next heep.

Thanks man. It drives and wheels better than it looks. I'm 'almost' content with it.

So I got my RC 3.25" lift kit in today for my TJ. Install begins tomorrow as soon as I am back from Harbor Freight with a spring compressor bc they didn't have them in stock today.

Pics to follow!

Can't believe I never saw this before. I've been a Jeeper for a while. I've had a few ZJ's.

First one, 1996 laredo with IRO 3.5" lift and 31" Trxus. Built it when I was 17ish.

Sold that, and got my DREAM Jeep. 92k

Started a GIANT ****ing build.

Niner $5,800
coils: $348
claytons: $975
IRO: $1800
aussie :$320
tires: $1,400
rims: $348
JKS: $200
gears: $510
axle: 250
labor:475
drive shaft:50
axke shafts:150
sliders: $330
Total: $12,956

Forgetting more probably, it was a giant build.
GoodYear Wrangler MTR's with Kevlar, 35's, 4.88's, Ford 8.8 swap, Claytons, full long arms, Bilsteins, EVERYTHING. Pretty hard to do at 18.

Well when all that needed to be done was rewelding the coil perches and running brakelines on the 8.8...

The guy who was working on my Jeep's house burnt down. My dream went from few hours of work left to...

It was horrible man. The new total when I actually added everything, all the receipts I had, all the pictures... It totaled 13k, insurance gave 12k -500 for deductible.

05-06 have issues with the OPDA. 03-04 are considered some of the best years to buy. And it really depends on you. Do you want an older Jeep for less cash, which leaves you more for aftermarket parts, or do you want a newer jeep that you can upgrade down the road as you go?

That ZJ was looking real solid man. Sucks to see that. Oh well, at least now you can go out and get something with a frame.

Now I am going to have to rent a spring compressor from autozone/kragen and work on my jeep's lift kit by myself.

I hate when I do everything for everybody else, when they neeed me, but they can't do one damn thing for me. **** 'em all!
