older brown Proflexes

I have a nice older brown Proflex mask and goggle and I haven't seen another one like it.

It's a brown goggles, nose and rubber soft lower that are all the same color. It's not a Spectra with the hard plastic mask, but more of a Flex 7 style with the rubber lower.

Are these hard to come by or sought after at all? I wanted to get a white/black or grey black lower and am wondering if the brown is worth a straight across trade.

It's just a brown Flex 7 IZE. No color of IZE's are that rare, just uncommon today. The bottoms were discontinued because people thought they were so soft they're unsafe.

Oh I thought the IZE's had brown ears and were translucent. This set has a black "hard" ear piece and is an opaque brown. Does that matter?

I remember the brown IZE's... they weren't pretty. I'm sure that if it's the same consistency of material that the opacity varies between individual parts.

Knew a guy who ran a yellow lens in one of those many years ago. Probably one of the ugliest production masks I've ever seen.

I bought these new like this back before there were shiney electric guns. I'll get some pics up.

I just think they from before there were IZE's. It's not a big deal.

Now that I look closer the frames are black, ears are hard and black and only the lowers and strap are brown.

Here are pics of the lowers, ears and strap I'm asking about. I didn't think of taking pics untill I had trasfered the lowers to a set of new goggles I just picked up.

... and yes, the urban camo's are just as ugly with the brown as I had feared.

Anyway, see how the lowers are not translucent? I'm just trying to get a good description of these lowers. Maybe I'm wrong and they are IZE lowers but in person they look pretty different than the IZE's. At least to my eye.

Yup, those are IZE's allright. with normal spectra hard ears and the camo frames from a Flex 8.
