D4 and Under

Really going outside of the box on this one and trying something new. I don't think I have ever seen anything like this before and we are giving away close to $4,000 in series prizes.

Where: Area 52 Paintball. Mackinaw, IL
When: Aug. 7th, Aug. 28th, Sept. 11th
Time: Captains Meeting 8:30am Games start at 9:00am

Series Entry Fee By July 22nd - $180
Series Entry Fee by July 29th - $200
Series Entry Fee By August 5th - $220

Paint - $55 per case

Format – 3 minute games – center flag – round robin

SERIES PRIZES

1st – 2 Planet Eclipse Geo 2.1s
2nd – 2 Empire AXEs
3rd – 2 Ninja 68/4500 air tanks

EVENT PRIZES
1st - 3rd – Free case of paint at next event (TBA for final event)

Details:
You will need a photo ID to check in at the event. ID must match player names on registration.
2 players per roster
Ramp – 12.5 bps
NO Coaching
Must have 14 teams for series prizes
16 Team MAX for events/series
Field size will be small and fast and probably some crazy layouts.

Please note it is $180 for the SERIES, not per event. If you pay on APPA and you don't show up on the other events right away, dont worry, I will get it fixed ASAP. This is my first time using APPA so I will figure it out.

APPA says: Register your team for all 3 events, THEN pay entry.

Or can it just be the team that holds the series points?

You can switch players for events as long as they fall under the guidelines of the rules and APPA.

$180/3 events = $60 per event....or $30 per player per event
I can't imagine you will shoot much more than a case per event...$55

$85 total per event x 3 events = $255

$255 to win a $1250 marker....and 3 great events to go along with it!

Do you have to sustain your D4 ranking throughout the series? For example if I'm d4 for the first event but get ranked up from something else mid series would I then be ineligible to play the next event?

Unfortunately if you are ranked D3 during any of the events you won't be eligible. However, you can still play the first one and have someone take your spot for the other events. Like I said, you will be able to change rosters and keep seed points just like most other tournament series.

I just feel like someone would complain about that fact that "omg there is a d3 player".

If this goes well, I am willing to explore the idea of a higher division tournament.
