it's not just grades and community service. it's about how much your parents make too.

This is only a "possible" thing that could happen. Nowhere on the website does it say that as well as my counselor looking over me and saying that I have it already.

The ACT really only measures how well you did in math up to algebra 2, how fast you can read, and how good you can read a graph. It's a horrible measurement of how smart somebody really is, just like any standardized test. Test taking skills do not necessarily transfer to reality, nor does school in many cases(ie. How many engineers do you know who actually use what they learned in calc III?).

Got a 28 on the ACT my senior year. Went in off of 2 hours of sleep, minked in the parking lot, and didn't bring a calculator (which wasn't much hassle, just made the math section annoying).
From there on, I decided that the test was a ****ing joke. Though, being the lazy piece of **** I am... and how much I despise taking a four hour test on a Saturday morning... I never decided to retake it because I only needed a 21 to get into my current, in state university.

Didn't take ACT, don't remember what I got on the SAT but it was good enough to get me into college. Didn't study for anything, just went and took it.
