I wish I had but I didn't want to. It's required for some schools.

Took the SAT all four years of high school and the ACT my first three years. When I've visited schools, the admissions people I've met with have said they admired my tenacity. Retaking it is always a good idea, colleges take your highest score, not the most recent.

I took the PSAT twice my freshman year and once my sophomore. As well as the SAT last year and will take it again next year. I was relying on that as my college getter. I will just take the ACT once as, given the college I want to go to, the SAT score I have is more than enough in combination with my grades, volunteer and extra curricular.
I've been told taking it a few times is a wise move as well. I just, I don't have the patience to take that test many more times.

Yeah, they're no fun but the effort will hopefully be highly rewarding.

Why would you want to take it again? What schools do you want to get into?

You increase your chances of improving your score if you take it again...
and doing worse doesn't count against you.

I wanna go to UCF. It is not difficult to get in there. All it is now is upping it for possible scholarships and bragging rights I suppose. But I already quality for Bright Futures' highest scholarship which will be a HUGE help for sure.

All you *****s retaking the SAT be trippin.
Just get over 2200 and you're set. After that, you need to worry more about keeping your GPA up and extracurriculars. If you wanna go Ivy you have to stand out from all the other applicants, and that doesnt mean test scores, it means doing something/being somebody.

Well he got a pretty decent score i feel like it would be a waste of time to study for a simple test when he could be doing something else

I got a 1200 on the SAT. Didn't give a ****. Slept through high school, took the SAT "because I HAD to." Went to CC for a year, got straight As and then transferred to a university that people who busted their *** in school went to and I'm still rolling out that 4.0.
Worked the system like a boss.

Took the ACT high as ****, couldn't even grab my pencil when it fell off of my desk without almost falling out of my chair. Don't know how I managed to achieve the score I did with how out of it I was.
Took the SAT after I had been sober for a year. Went from an 1850 to 2200.
Didn't take the ACT senior year.

hahaha i really wanted to retake one of them high to experiment with whether my score would rise or fall, i was really interested in that. but not enough to spend another 4 hours on a saturday morning on it.

Got a 1960 on the SAT
There are a lot of reasons someone might retake the SAT. You might not feel good about how well you did, or theres a chance you might do better on a particular section if you retake it. Some schools will take the highest score of each section from each time you took the test, rather than the highest score from a single test.
It might seem like a waste of money to retake the test, but I took it 3 times and improved my score by 180

Got a 2020 on the SAT when I took it. Said **** it, I'm not going to even try getting a higher score. Didn't take the ACT.

I am 100% familiar with the changes in bright futures. I still qualify for the highest tier (there are still tiers).
