What's up fellas. I need your advise on a new muffler. On a trip out on Sunday I happened to finish off my ever-so-barely-hanging-on muffler pipe. Now I have to replace that. No big deal. While I'm at it I want to replace my muffler as well. Give my V8 ZJ a little grumble. I am not sure if I want to go with the Flowmaster original 40 series, or the Super 44. Do any of you have experience with either one? I want a nice, aggressive rumble at power, not an EXCESSIVE drone at highway speeds and something that wont wake up my neighbors and gf's neighbors when I come and go late at night.
Any info would be appreciated. If there would be an alternate suggestion, please let me know. I am not dead-set on FlowMaster, but they have relatively good prices and good tones. Thanks.
And now some eye-candy from Sundays trip. (Most are cell phone pics, sorry if quality is ****)

I run the Hushpower HP-2 by Flowmaster. My long arms mean I don't have a lot of room down there, and I wanted exactly what you did (in red) I've been happy with it.
Also got my track bar ****uation taken care of.

I LOVE how they integrated the foglights into the bumper. I wanna put one of those on my 03 Wrangler.
I'm working on painting my fender flares. They are faded horribly.

How would they look?

I settled on the Super 44. I love it. The sound clips online don't do it justice. In person it sounds really nice. Not too loud unless I romp on it.

That is one of the things I hate most about the JK's. (Also on the list - power windows/locks. Blasphemy in a wrangler, I say.)
Saw a similar setup today, I like. edit - talking about the fastback hardtop. Looks clean IMO

That is a nice hard top indeed. I got power locks on my Wrangler by my dad's choosing when we put in the alarm system. Sucks cuz I wanted to take my doors off.

I've ran no top about a week and now have it off again. Sun out here faded the crap outta my seat covers. I need to figure out something to protect it from the sun while I'm at work.

Spider Web Shade
Just a suggestion, I like it way more than my bikini.
Biggest pro: Can stay on even when you put the hard top back on.
Biggest con: Doesnt help with rain (like the bikini)
I've also been waiting to see one of these in person. It says "complete protection from the elements"....but I'm interested to hear how Aircraft Grade perforated aluminum does that.
edit: It's made by ****tybilt, so I'm not getting my hopes up....

My JKU has the alarm system too and I run doors off all the time. Just have to remember to 'lock and unlock' the doors getting in and out of the vehicle to set the alarm and turn it off.
So I figure I should introduce myself. Name's Rob. On my third Wrangler and am exploring new parts of the forum. Started with a Renegade way back, then had a 2000 TJ Sport, and now a 2007 JK Unlimited. The JKU is in the midst of a face lift at the moment. Lift, wheels, tires and gears. So no updated pics at the moment, but here's a shot of the new shoes and a friend of mine:
And one prior to going up a week after I picked her up and re branded her:
And for ****s and giggles, test fitting to see if my spare would fit on the stock carrier. It's a tight fit, and due to the wait, it will be riding in the back till I can afford the AEV rear bumper and carrier. So that just means she'll be rockin the tramp stamp for a few weeks:
And of course, when I finish up the lift install I will post updated pics.

Just picked up a new 11 JK myself. I went base because I am not going to spend extra money on items that I will end up replacing anyway. Such as 2000 bucks it was for the 17's wheels and tires. So far I have order kicker speakers because the stock ones suck so much. But here are some pics

And my dog claiming his spot.
I plan on picking up a Rough Country 3.5 lift and the classic blacked out alloys with 33 or 35s

Any reason while you dont like RC my personal experience is that they take a beating and work. I also know that 33's fit stock just debating on getting 35's or 33's price wise not that much of a difference.

RC is on the lower end of the quality stick as far as lifts go.
Youll rub on the front with 33's stock.
