Vocal Harmony in 21st Century Rock

Holy ****. I'm just now realizing what makes System of a Down one of my favorite bands of all time. Just like most of my favorite classic rock bands (Pure Prairie League, Allman Brothers, Eagles, etc) they use vocal harmony: totally beautifully.

What do you guys think? I'm not by any means knocking music that just goes for a solo singer, or no singers at all, but doesn't this vocal harmony kick ***?

ex: Eagles, Peaceful Easy Feeling

Totally amazing.

ex: System of a Down, Chop Suey (yes, this is by far the most overplayed song on any radio station that has their music, but this and Violent Pornography are the two best examples i can think of for this)

Also totally amazing.

Instead of calling one better or worse than the other, look at what each band does. There are countless bands that do this in countless songs. This **** is awesome. Sign me up.
