Ghillie advice

I live in north east Indiana and am building a ghillie suit. This is what i have so far.

I am wandering whether to add more tan and brown to it or maybe even less

First and foremost, the netting is in the wrong location. When you use a ghillie, what do you do, crawl, right? The burlap strips should be on the back, on the front you should reinforce it for crawling.

Do a google search and your answer will be there.

I have made several ghillies in my time and I will no longer make them, not for this sport.

ya put the stuff on the back and sew more fabric over the netting, but um *** for the brown, just make it vary across the suit, a bit more here, a bit less there... u know

after you move the jute to the back of the suit, look at the area you'll be playing most. Look at the undergrowth. That's what you want to match. You don't want to be standing up and blend in, you want to tie in some foilage from the area and blend in when you're prone. you want to match what's under that foilage.

when i play i usually dont lay prone a lot
so if you crawl around crouched more you may want it on the front

depends on how you play i guess, just a thought

*oh wow this over a year ago. nevermind haha
