I just took the gun apart and found a chunk out of an or-ing in the pin inside of the Noid, that would be the issue right? And does anybody know where I can get a replacement, It's the tiny orange one.

Well I'm not sure where you can get that specific part, but the quest uses the noid of a dm5/6/7 and pm5/6/7 (pretty sure the pm7 also uses that...)

DM6 and upwards actually use an entirely different solenoid. Pictures in the manual aren't clear (I don't actually own a PM6 myself), but they also appear to show the new type solenoid, and the PM7 definitely uses it.

DM4, DM5 and PM5 use the same solenoid as the Quest. Newer DMs and PMs don't.

As for the issue, I believe the ring that you are describing is a 'slip' ring, rather than an o-ring. It is an alignment guide rather than a seal, and these generally do have a gap in the circumference.

Is your battery fresh?
Is your dwell high enough?
Is the trigger definitely depressing the microswitch on the board, and is the switch able to reset after you release the trigger?
Do you have a spare harness that you can install? Quest harnesses are renowned for being brittle and breaking.

Thanks for the info on the solenoid. Everything is fine, on the solenoid pin their are 2 orange orings, both are broken. Both techs I talked to said that I'd have to buy a new one to replace them.

I'm presuming that you have black o-rings on the solenoid spool as well? If so, those are the actual seals. As long as those are intact, then you are good. The fact that you have two of the orange rings, and they both have gaps in them reinforces my belief that they are the slip rings that I was referring to.

I talked to 2 techs about it and I pulled the pin from my dm5 solenoid. So I'm pretty sure it was the harness, but now the dm5 and the quest need PROFESSIONAL repair
