The Joplin tragedy was right next door to DDay. Most traveling teams stay in Joplin. I just got back from there after working relief for a week. That place is devastated. It looks like an Atom bomb went off. Lot of hurting people. Certainly no room for some paintballers wanting to bunk up in the town and play a game while everyone else is digging through rubble. It was the right call to make, a sad one yes, but the right one. This puts MWB out of the National Title run (we won't have enough regionals to make a push into Nationals now), but it gives us an opportunity to spend that planned tournie week in Joplin helping out instead. Well worth it. This just means Lincoln is going to be one heck of an event, a lot of those DDay teams will probably be heading to Nebraska now. Slots will fill quick.
