I dont think its really a conflict of interest, but its the "players" representing other players on the board rather than someone on the board who doesnt play or know how a player functions or goes through on a day to day basis at events.

Not from every team but most. That being said I could be wrong but I believe that frank is the only one that plays out of those representing the board members. And also the only one on the field verbally abusing reffs... Not that other players don't as well

Thats fine when its behind the scenes, after the event. But using their ownership to complain, muscle around refs and change calls is not fair.

agreed. Im NOT a fan of him at all. I was on the field reffing the team he was coaching at PHX 09 (unlimited) when he pushed his own player onto a bench, and he recieved a suspension. Since then Ive lost respect for the guy.

While I can see that it may be a conflict of interest for Frank to be arguing any calls. I wouldn't expect ANYONE to just shut up and let dynasty cheat all event long. I can say that everything that was complained about was true and SHOULD have been complained about. Frank didn't use Muscle or Rank to get his calls. He was just being Frank, He cares more about the Game than most of you give credit for, And anything he complained about was legit. Does it look bad for the league? Yes. Was there another way to handle it? Probably. But when you have Refs who are afraid of ANY pro player. We have problems all over the place. I mean, Tom Cole was called and put Frank in his place any time he started to get out of place. All in all, I think we had to many Refs sucking dynasty dick. =) And Uprising played great, but once again bad calls should be called, and the refs shouldn't sit there and have 30 minute long powwows figuring out what happened.
And as for the shorts at HB... Espn 3 was there. We need to look like a professional sport when we have other people watching us. Media has uniforms for EVERY SINGLE sport besides ours. So looking good for the camera isnt something to complain about. I ended up shooting in shorts sunday, But then again, I didnt have to worry about espn 3.

NPPL reffing has always been ****. Everyone's constantly complaining. Frank has always had a strong personality and been a dick. IS ANYONE SURPRISED?!
This lynch mob needs to set their target to the NPPL. Not Frank or Dyansty or the refs. And I'm pretty sure that's what Jimmy Hickey was imposing.

I am going to start out by saying that I have and will root for anyone playing againts dynasty, and anyone who can beat them will go on my top list. I shoot a creed and i love the company, however. after looking a few things over and seeing that video of Frank being a DICK, i have lost respect for avalanche greatly. to be fair to him i have seen ollie get away with alot more than he should because of his status so it is justifiable to get upset, but like many have said, you need a standard level of sportsmanship in paintball which we simply do not have. i hope the NPPL will pull there heads out of there ***** and block anyone on any board from playing at ANY level. if there was a member of the NFL playing for a team their would be lawsuits as well as in any other sport.

lol...
Been doing this for a while... This is only a small part of why Paintball is so far from being a mainstream televised sport... Unfortunate as this may be, we all know who "we" are and how "we" act... At events, at hotels, in restaurants etc... That's generally speaking of course. Most mature athletes know that it is on "us" to change the perception of our sport... Mostly of how everyone else perceives "us" as participants of this sport! As far as the cheating/bickering goes, it's common in every sport @ every level... kept up on the Barry Bonds Trial? Ever played a pick-up basketball game? As most trained athletes, I play till the "whistle" and sometimes the calls don't go your way... etc...
I know for a fact that our sport needs a lot of "fine tuning" before we can throw it on TV (after all, that's where the "big bucks" are). For now, we do this for "fun", for that feeling of winning a tournament and going on about your life (outside of paintball) remembering what you did that weekend, month, year before on that field... There's nothing like it!
The truth is, politics exist in every sport... Unfortunately, it plays a much larger role in ours!

Media doesn't have uniforms for any sport whatsoever...I shoot professional events all around the globe and have never been given a uniform Some events, mainly professional soccer, we are given bibs, but a uniform? Nope. There are guidelines, and generally you want to look respectable out there to some degree. And what paintball photographer other than my main pimp Rob looks good out there, you ever see the skirmish photographers in orange head to toe?
And I have no problem if he would have kindly asked me to change, or talked to me after the game. I do understand his logic. But to call me out in the middle of the game, saying I look like a god damn retard is disrespectful to me and I do not appreciate it.

Other people were wearing shorts at HB on the sidelines while the ESPN3 crew was filming, from what my buddy saw while on the sidelines.

True, that head ref with the red bandana was god aweful... I've never seen him as a head ref at an NPPL and they give him the pro field? He listened too much to the pro players (saw him pull a one for one after a guy on uprising yelled for him to), he didn't have much to say/ it wasn't even worth arguing a ****ty call against him.
All im sayin is if the NPPL cant find TWO good refs to AT LEAST be the head refs on each field, than thats pretty sad.

Bpk5 apperently you've never been too an Nppl... The ref in the red bandana is always reffing and most of the time is a head ref on the pro field.
