Leaky solenoid

I noticed my quest is leaking air from the solenoid, so I checked and even replaced the o-rings on my 4b kit and re-lubed the bolt. I still have a small leak, so I started to play with the lpr and whenever I set the lpr to 80 psi and dry fire the lpr pressure spikes to 120 psi. As long as the lpr is set below 80psi psi I dont have any issues with the lpr pressure spiking but I still haver the leak for the solenoid. Is it the valve core in the lpr that has gone bad or is it something else? The hpr that I am using is a an aka sidewinder set at 200 psi and I have also tried a brand new solenoid. Let me know any advice or opinions.

Have you recently dissasembled the noid? Are you sure its put together correctly?

if you tried a new solenoid and it still leaked, then chances are there might be something wrong with the valve core. Do you have a gold (brass) or silver lpr core?

Also, clean and re-lube your sidewinder. Just to be safe.

It has a new noid and the sidewinder has been cleaned and lubed. The valve core is silver and I am leaning towards it being bad, I have a replacement on the way. Thanks for the advice!

Have you taken off the grip frame and aired it up to find out exactly where it is coming from?

I have removed the grips/frame and from what I can tell is the solenoid is venting air. The leak is near the wires of the solenoid/underneath the solenoid if that makes any sense. I am leaning towards the lpr core being bad, let me know what you think.

If you have changed the o-rings already (may be worth trying a second set, just in case), and there is no sign of scratches inside the bolt or body, then the LPR core would be a logical assumption. A faulty core wouldn't regulate the air going to the solenoid, and it would indeed try to vent the excess pressure.

Thank you for the advice, I will try another set of o-rings on the bolt kit. For some odd reason I think the lpr valve core went bad, we will see when the new one arrives.

The valve core has been replaced and I have changed the o-rings on the bolt and pin again and I still have a small leak coming from the solenoid...I dont know what to do at this point in time...any ideas???

I did notice that when the original bolt/pin is used the solenoid leaks less than when the 4B bolt kit is installed. I think I am going to have to pack it up and send it to critical.

Have you taken the solenoid off the body and inspected the gasket? I would take off the noid, run a LIGHT coat of lube on the gasket then secure the noid back to the body securely WITHOUT over tightening.

So you just has to re-secure the noid right?

I'm having the same problem and it's really pissing me off. I just can't get it to stop leaking it's hardly noticable but it's driving me crazy. I replaced all the orings and the solenoid gasket and it's still leaking. The lpr seems to be working fine I don't know what to do.

did you tear apart the noid and check the core?

Yeah the gun shoots still or was shooting. I don't know after hours of messing with it I decided to drop it off at TCpaintball to have them look at it, i needed to pick up a few orings for the ion and pmr anyway. Hopefully they can fix it if not they said they'd call up critical.
