JT ER2 pistol package
Just picked up an ER2 package at a local store, and man, what a cool little gun! This thing is packed with fun features you'd expect in a much higher priced gun, to include the anti-double pump mechanism, as well as the Trracer's "safety on, hold trigger, now you can repump it to fix a rollout" feature. You'd almost think someone had been the victim of rollouts a few times.
Only question I'd have is whether or not there might be bigger pump handles out there in the future. I keep catching my fingers at the front of the pump, and pinching into the forward body.
More in-depth review and pictures to follow shortly.

I'm going to get one and do the same thing but put a better barrel detent in so it won't break paint so much. I may try to put a better barrel in also.
Rastamun what size is that sc feed?

Keep the pump hand strong

Painting it black seems unwise, but OK.

My kids and I have been dueling with these over the last few weeks... What an fun addition to our regular paintball outings these have become. You can't beat the price.. Picked up 2 for under $60 at Dick's. I am surprised at the accuracy. As long as you allow for the FPS drop off after each shot, they become very predictable and that's a fantastic feature..
We get 14-18 usable shoots out of a 12gram.
I highly recommend this gun...just for the fun factor. Not something I would expect to be using on the field though.
first shots chronograph a little hotter the 250fps with a 2 to 5 fps drop after each shot over the course of 10 shots.

I made this for mine, I haven't tested it yet though. I'm still working on a setup for use with an ASA on the bottom of the CA adapter. For the time being I'll use a remote coil.

Ok, you have my interest. Is there an actual post about this or just a hint at something behind the lines?

JT ER2 Pistol - Repainted w/Plasti Dip Grips, Pump Handle, CO2 Seal
So far, I've repainted the body and rubberized various parts using spray plasti dip. Total cost: $10. I've banged it around a bit so there's a few scuffs. I am also testing the durability of the plasti dip to determine its lifespan.
I would love to know if Phoenix1 would be willing to make me one of his/her CO2 adapters? I'm also curious if anyone's ever put a small trigger style handle (don't know what it's called) on the side of the pump for quicker loading?

That's pretty sharp looking. I'd be interested to know, too, what the lifespan of the coating will be.

Thanks!
I should have mentioned there are 2 coats of paint throughout, and 2 coats of plasti dip on top of the paint for the grips, pump handle and CO2 seal. I've roughly handled the gun about 8 times and so far, the only problem is with the pump handle. On the side where your fingertips press when pumping it, the plasti dip is starting to peel. But all other plasti-dipped areas are in perfect condition.
I think I know what the problem is... the pump handle is the only area I did not spray paint first before using plasti dip. So what I will do is peel it off, spray it down with 2 layers of paint, then do the 2 layers of plasti dip. After, I will test the durability again.
Another thought: Most people do more than 2 coats of plasti dip - usually 4-6 or til desired thickness. Since the stuff can be peeled off with ease and without ruining the undercoat, it's just a matter of testing results.
Thanks for the reply!

Update: The plasti-dip coating is still holding strong. There is some wear on the pump but I can tell that I didn't do that section quite right. I will peel and reapply to a higher standard. I highly recommend the use of spray form plasti dip, it is excellent and durable!
