Looking for new fields/events in 2010

We are still putting together our 2010 schedule and are looking to hit up some new venues. Does anyone have some recommendations for new events to attend?

We are throwing around the possibility of hitting up some UWL and SPPL events as well

I would like us to hit up some IL fields, been a long time since I've been to Realms, or Fox River.

The guys did have fun at EMR though.

Training Day at Fox Paintball, September 18-19 (unnofficial date, but it has always been the third weekend of September). This game gets bigger every year, last year we had 750 players. Its a one day event, BYOP, etc. Its a must attend game.

Also, hit the IL UWL at Badlandz June 26-27. You'll like it. There has been a lot of interest in the UWL by IL and IN teams this year, so we are planning to have a "intro to UWL/practice" event at Fox some time in the spring on our UWL/SPPL field. You guys are welcome to join us. http://www.chicagoheretics.com/phpBB...hp?f=23&t=1542

Shields, I thought you were coming to the Oct game at Sherwood? The May game should be awsome.

Thanks for the invite on the UWL / SPPL practice, that is something I've been wanting to do at Sherwood also and try to get some IL and MI teams together.

I've heard good things about Training Day, I want to get that on the schedule.

Buttercup here

I'm trying to get some Sherwood teams to come up to a place called Splatmandu (Three Rivers, MI) Its byop and nearly free $2 for the year. They do a short scenario the first sunday of every month. Its great practice, so even if its something a few of you would like to hit, let me know.

2010 invites

I'm Andrew Van Der Plaats, aka 'Dorsai.' I serve as the J-1 with
the Allied Command, the world's largest paintball team. Last year
the Allied Command fielded roughly 1,700 players, the year before
it was more like 2,300. We're divided up into units, the same as
those who took part in the D-Day invasion back in 1944, so you
have a wide range of options ranging from the 101st and the 82nd
Airborne, to the 1st and 4th Infantry, as well as the 2nd Armor &
899th Blackcats (tank destroyers). We've also got a number of \
British and Canadian units, along with a group that represents the
'Free French' forces.

Most of our team's members come as much as a week prior to the
main event, in order to train together as well as take part in the daily
mini scenarios and night time event, as well as in a array of optional
events, including in a live fire machine gun shoot, Obstacle Course
and in professionally taught tactical training classes offered by 1
Shepherd using MILEs 2000 equipped M-16s and AK-47s. In addition
there's also nightly speedball games, as well as a huge vendor presence
on the site to keep you occupied. With close to 150 acres set aside
for camping, there's plenty of room for units to offer their members
room for tents, and campers. The site also features a area where
RVs can hook up if they wish. On site showers and food facilities
also help to make this site one of the most player friendly in the
nation. The field, which encompasses close to 700 acres consists
of some open areas, as well as plenty of rough wooded terrain, is
a challenge for even the most fit player. Buildings, trench works
and even a real bridge make for the site a players fantasy land
come true.

Here's just a few of the many D-Day videos available for your viewing pleasure on You Tube and elsewhere around the net. If you've got
any questions, I can be reached just about any time between
0500-2000 hours.
