Valve Removal/Installation

Materials needed- strap wrench, 7/64 allen wrench, 3/16 allen wrench, allen wrench for asa (stock ASA - 5/16" allen key; Zeni ASA - 1/4" allen key), and a pencil(or anything that is long and isnt metal so it cant scratch the valve.)

Step 1: Get everything set and ready to go.

-allen key/wrench
-strap wrench

Step 2: Remove the hose and take off the HPR.

Step 3: Then take off the asa. Stock ASA - 5/16" allen key; Zeni ASA - 1/4" allen key

Step 4: Using a strap wrench, take off the LPR. Following the LPR, would be the valve spring and then the valve stem.

Step 5: Now remove the ram.

Step 6: Then start taking out the 4 tray screws with a 7/64" allen wrench. When the screws are off, slowly move the tray away from the body.

Step 7: Now take off the valve set screw with a 3/16" allen wrench.

Step 8: Using a pencil, or anything that is long and isnt metal, push out the valve towards the barrel.

To install the valve, please reverse the steps.

yeah, I'm using stock. Now you have information to update with these data: stock ASA - 5/16" allen key; Zeni ASA - 1/4" allen key.

no, thats a bit overkill, although on the ram housing it dosnt really matter. Just be conservative on the ram shaft, and lightly lube the o-rings on the ram housing.

I may have those floating around somewhere. If I do, I'll put the whole thing into a .PDF format, and will post it on ICDU when I get the ICD-Owners.com site back online.

"they" can't because "they" are busy rebuilding ICDO, and valve pics are pretty low on the totem pole. As I said up at the top, at some point I'll try to recover the pics and if I can, I'll put the valve remove instructions into a PDF file that will get hosted in ICDU.
