What's the difference in terms of pneumatics between Axe and Mini? Is it just the expansion chamber? Are they identical otherwise?

like everyone else has said, they will be about the same. i would personally just get the mini, even though everyone and their second cousin own one.

The mini and axe don't have expansion chambers...

I think you're referring to the area around the poppet that holds the volume of air pressure. The axe has a larger area around the poppet for greater air volume, but it's not a huge increase. It's not going to make that much of a difference since the mini's volume chamber can keep the pressure up at any bps setting. Also, the entire air transfer tube acts as a volume chamber in the mini/axe, as it leads into the area around the poppet.
