Hey everyone,

I'll be taking part in my first big tournament this Saturday at the GPL. I'm doing the D4/5 - 3 Man Race to 2. I'm excited but not so much for the rain. Looks like it's gonna be pretty crazy according to weather.com

I never played in the rain before so are there any tips or suggestions that you guys can give? My concern would be for the marker, paint, and goggles.

No speedfeeds, tape your barrel, fil pods under cover.... Keep paint dry... Plenty of towels and maybe a space heater

I wouldn't do a space heater in the rain. Silly lucas.. lol..

Theres been several threads recently about this very thing.

Like lucas said, put a lid on, tape your barrel ports up, fill your pods out of the rain, use electrical tape around your trips to seal them off better against the water, to protect your board. Make sure you keep your squeege out of the rain, keep it inside a normal pants pocket not a outside squeege pocket.

These are the types of days where straight shot squeeges rock because you can use them when wet with great results.

I would probably squeege my barrel every game if you don't tape your barrel ports up. You could probably get away with doing just the top and maybe the side ports.

Dude under a tent we used a space heater and it was fine...

The weather man says its suppose to rain later in the afternoon. Hopefully they get the games going quickly so we can try to avoid as much of the rain as possible.

I usually syrane wrap on the grip frame to keep water from the board. If Its gonna be real Bad I take some clear caulk and put it on the seams where water can get into. The caulk is easily removable without any residue.

the main thing is to keep everything as dry as possible. like the others said, dont use a speedfeed, and keep water out of your barrel.
