NT11* Help a first time spool owner *NT11
I just got my NT11 with virtue OLED.
when i fire off about 15-30 shots the marker stops firing, it makes a really soft muffled sound and it doest cycle the bolt. If i turn the reg higher it will fire but i hear a leaking from the feed neck and trigger. when i lower it back down till the leaking stops, i can fire off a few shots and it stops cycling again.
the virtue board is at factory settings
battery fully charged
bolt was just lubed with dye slick lube
i dont know what the reg is at, i just turned it little by little till it stated to fire because out of the box , the bolt wasnt firing.
Also, every time i pull the bolt assembly out, the cylinder gets stuck... it never comes out with the assembly and i have pulled it out several times today.. i have to force it out with a pencil.

We had the same problem with 5 of our new NT11s last week, after trying different things with the tech as the DYE booth at Millennium Paris event this weekend we found out that changing spool spring solved the issue. It was something wrong with the one from factory... If you have the same prob after spring change, change spring with someone that has bought NT11 mush earlier so you dont actually use a spring from a bad batch or something.
I think the bad spring(litt too hard one) does that gun needs more pressure to be able to cycle, and if it starts to leak then the pressure is too high, you can damage the noid. That also results in much more kick then expected... If you have a dye proshop near by, consult with them...

thanks i raised my dwell to 10 and it started working ... i am also going to look into the spring issue because 4 other NT's on my team were experiencing issues and they had stock dye boards so im guessing its not the dwell.
anyone having trouble removing the spring?? we couldnt get the the bolt open to get to the spring..

it is very hard to open the spool for the first time ... you need to use some force to do it.

I snapped two allen keys trying to do it, glad I had an adjustable wrench because the one in the multitool was so thin it was digging into the wrench flat. I think I'm going to mill myself a "special tool" at work tonight for getting these things apart.

Dye needs to drill a big hole through the thick part of the stem so you can stick an allen through that. The multi-tool pretty much slips off the stem and its almost rounded off lol

I guarantee your problem is within the solenoid spool. Try changing out to black orings if you got them. Also liberally apply some more lube on those orings.

I had some issues with mine, also from the same batch of guns;
Before the first outing I lubed it all up and by the end of the day it was a mess, cheap paint was chopping and I realized later that the bolt wasn't retracting all the way, but slowly went in the last 1/4 inch. I thought the rotor was jamming when it was the bolt not letting the ball drop!
Second outing it started again after a short while and when I took off the hopper and looked at the bolt I saw it wasn't cycling all the way and would go in after a brief pause. I did change my plunger 14 and lubed the hell out of everything and it was fine for the rest of the day. I used the green insert and didn't touch the dwell, my pressure was around 120 and I was 280 over the chrono.
Another team mate had a leak from the solenoid but I never got back to see if he checked his pressure.
I called dye and the tech recommended that I replace basically all of the moving parts o-rings, plunger, bolt, spool and can 17. Increase pressure to 135 and run dwell at 10 with my green spacer.
I assume that raising the dwell will counter act the increasing of the pressure. Most places we play at are 280 and if we are shooting hotter than that we can only adjust the regulator downward on field. IMHO The gun should be able to shoot at that speed without having to load up on spacers or change tips. I hope there is a common denominator to this equation. I do question the springs roll in this since that is the one thing that we don't have spares of to test with.
I did try some quads or x-rings on the outside of the can to see if it would make it easier to pull the can in and out, think it helped a little but regular buna might just have done the same for me. I felt that the 20's that were on there were way tight and pulling it out was a PIA.

I changed my spring, it stopped miscycling
edit: before that I replaced the orings specified in the troubleshooting section of the manual under "NT does not cycle"

I don't have mine on me... I know it has an extra trigger spring but I don't specifically remember a spool spring...
