We at Badlands Inc. have searched high and low for a viable, enjoyable and affordable format in Canada, which could enhance the experience and value of competitive ball for Canadian players. After 3 years of searching, we have now found what we're looking for, and we are very proud to introduce the first season of the Grid Fighters League (GFL), presented by Planet Eclipse and INKA Paintball.

About the GFL.
The GFL will showcase a brand new format (the new Grid-Fighters format) to be fully introduced for the 2012 season, with demo's and showcase events throughout the 2011 season.
The GFL is a 'zero-politics' league, with the goal of increasing the exposure of the sport to the general public.
The GFL is a non-franchise league. You won't play the GFL because you have to. You'll play it because you love it!
The GFL includes 3 Eastern Events, 3 Central Events, and 2 Showcase Events to include both East and Central, plus industry trade shows, at spectacular venues. For a full season schedule, visit www.gridfighters.com
The GFL Open Division Series winners will receive custom-engraved Eclipse GFL EGO11 Markers as trophies, plus a full Eclipse head-to-toe sponsorship package. Open Division winners will also become Canada's flagship Eclipse team for 2012.
The GFL Entry Division Series winners will receive Custom engraved Eclipse GFL Etek3 markers as trophies, plus a full Eclipse head-to-toe sponsorship package.

Badlands is going to find field able to be part of it
GFL works with field owners to grow

GFL is also just building a players base to introduce Grid fighters next season .A format that will revolutionize paintball ,West will be needed to step in this new wave .
This season the Grid fighters will be show cased in front of planet eclipse at the 1000 island extreme games weekend june 25/26
paintball,BMX,Skateboard,Sky diving,Kayak racing,rock climbing,scuba diving and more .
extreme sport trade show where multiple retail stores will have a presence .
Badlands ,Premium,Underground ,Planet gun tech and many extreme sports retail store all coming under a single venue .Red Bull just stepped in the venue .
5 boats of 350 passengers waiting on shore Saturday night to bring everyone on a cruise for free and drop off at the waterfront live stage for beer tent and live shows .
there are lots more going on ,better be there

I can't wait!!! sounds like a great idea, already talked to my buddies and we are actually really looking forward to this, if/when it comes out west. I really do wish you guys the best of luck, the more success you have the better it will be when you guys come out here

Went over the rulebook on your website and it sorta has the feeling of a 3v3 xball style format, is that what you were kinda aiming for?

GFL is a 3 man Xball race format .
Grid Fighters will be a much different format but will still carry the GFL division to all events
There will be a video made at the 1000 islands Xtreme sports festival
