FS7 help
I have been out of the game for awhile, but want to get all my gear up and running. I have an FS7 with a sidewinder HPR and STD LPR. I have followed every guide for lubing and balancing I could find, completely tore down and rebuilt the marker and just can't get it balanced. Are there any techs that still work on these that I can send this to to have it fixed?

Did you go here and follow THCGunsmoke's directions?
If you have and still have problems you can give me a PM. You should post up where you're located and maybe you'll find someone close to you. Tell me you're not in Dubai.
Here's some other folks who might be able to help you too.

Have you had the regulators balanced on that FS before? Or is that JDS STD LPR a new addition?
Where I am going with this is that if I recall correctly, the STD LPR used a different spring for the 04 FS model. If you have the incorrect lpr, I would think that would give you issues balancing the regs. Might not be the problem, but just a thought.

I might still be able to help you out, and maloneoni is correct, there is a different spring in the LPR for the 2k4 gen2's, then everything else. There's aso weird little niggly bits about it that could be attributed to bad rings, or bad sealing from the threads. I can't promise to be around, but I'm in colorado, and it's been a few years but I can still attempt to rebalance a freestyle. For a while, I was the only one who could apparently here.

qft. I still consider his site to be the best resource for working on Freestyles.
rotorhead, if you're still having problems, I'm also willing to look at it. Most likely, it's likely just having to get the hang of it. Be sure you're sticking something down the feedneck so you're not venting air while you balance it.
