I couldn't find it anywhere else on here so please excuse my ignorance if something simmilar is already posted.
I just wanted to get a general consensus from AA teams that are attending Nationals this year. We (Mass. Maritime) just got back from being at sea for two months so I'm trying to throw **** together pretty fast.
How much should an AA Race-To-2 team expect to shoot in terms of cases? Is there a safe number of cases to order considering we usually lay down a good amount of paint at other tournaments? Also, is there someone here on the forums we can contact that works at CFP about ordering paint?
Timeshare vs. Hotel? I know there are vouchers for staying at hotels sponsored by the NCPA
Are we still doing "Proof of Full time student" sheets this year? I think I read it somewhere and just wanted to confirm.
Thanks in Advance,
Ryan - Mass Maritime Captain

Last year at nationals we drove down from Hartford and bought 25 cases from DP. We made it into semi's and brought home about 12 cases. However, that was the traditional five man format and we only had 8 prelim games. Now with that race-to, you're guaranteed 8 prelims, with the maximum of 12, so we're probably going to budget for 6-8 more cases.

This year in our 4 events in the SCCC we averaged around 15 cases out of prelims. Once in the quarters we've shot a couple cases per match after that. That being said we're looking to order 25-30 cases for our team this 2011 Nationals. Last year we had 20-25 cases and shot about half of that in our 8 games.
Housing situation would best to just stay in the hotel. Several good ones close to the field. Like you said, if you stay in a hotel that is selected as a sanctioned one you get that waiver on entry.
Not sure about the proof of full time student but in our conference we're all suppose to print off our transcripts and bring them to every event. So all of our players have a couple copies in our gearbags a long with student ID's. This would be a good precautionary thing to do.
Like stated above you'll play four teams, best of three with each team. So if you beat all four teams in two games you'll only play 8 points. If you split one game to one game then you have to go into the third round. So you can play a minimum of eight games, or a max of twelve games. *Pending that all three games in a match do not reach time limit without one or the other team hanging the flag.

based on the last few years, 12-15 cases for prelims
I would choose the vacation home/time share over hotel depending on number of people. The homes make more sense for anything over 8 guys, as the prices are very good, and you get other amenities (like your own pool, bigger bathrooms and showers)
