Very sad story, but what should i do?
hey guys, so i just found out that my husky, sapphire, was discovered by my neighbor a couple weeks ago in an old barn off my property with three gunshot wounds, and 8 puppies. She vanished a few weeks ago, being a husky she roams my neighborhood a lot, but nobody had seen her, and my neighbor had no knowledge that she was mine and turned her into the spca, i am very emotionally attatched to this dog but if i claim her as the owner i will probably get stuck with the vet bills, i am a 17 year old kid with a part time job and i doubt i could even swing an adoption fee, what should i do?

If you're sure its your dog, talk with your parents to see if they'll help out with the costs. Was she microchipped or anything?

my .02:
if this story here is true, YOU DO NOT DESERVE THAT DOG. with that said, how can you let your dog roam around on it's own? wether it is a husky or any other dog. i don't care how old you are, time to man up and claim the dog, get a job if you have to and pay the vet bills...but let the dog find a new owner.

You should tell to your friend about it. Tension will be release. If not trustworthy then avoid to attach with this dog.
