Ever pet a Tiger?

I did and he would fetch the ball. This happened somewhere in Florida.

Was it at Big Cat Rescue in Tampa? I have never got to pet a tiger but I did get a chance to pet a Florida panther. The panther is a little more rare as there less than 100 in the wild.

Theres a guy that goes to the dog park that volunteers at one of those places, not sure if thats the one though. Hes told us a lot of stories about the animals they have, I'd be scared ****less to have a 500+ lb animal near me, but apparently they're really playful

I used to work at Potter Park Zoo (Lansing, MI) years ago, and got to interact with all kinds of animals, including petting the tiger cubs. That's when I was a teen, and I ended up getting my bachelor's degree in zoology. I guess you could say it had an effect on me!

Cute pics^^^. They also look young because the one I played with was 6 months old.

I can't remember the name of the place but afterwards we got to play with baby monkees. They were wearing diapers. We would hold our arms out and they would swing on them. Was a very cool birthday present.

I used to have a picture of me and my family posing with Rajah the Siberian Tiger in San Francisco. I was the only one in the photo who actually had a hand on the tiger.
When I think about it, that was when I lived in California and I moved to the East Coast in '75. So it must have been back around '72 the one time I actually was that close to a tiger.
How long do big cats live, anyway? It's sad to think that I may have outlived the one tiger I ever actually petted.
