Introduction to Paintball Classes

Hey Guys!

I'm thinking about pitching a Introduction to Paintball class idea to my local Park District. It would run about 6 weeks long, 1 hour a week. looking for topic ideas for the 6 weeks that field owners feel are important to thesuccess of the sport.

ThanX

Rob

Safety, terminology, marker maintainence, different styles of paintball, different types of markers and how to use them.

We used to run a half day Paintball bootcamp on a monthly basis but we discontinued it for lack of interest.

so is this free or at a cost to those who participate? how will you spread the word that the classes are available and what group types of people are you targeting? just curious. sounds like a great way of doing your part of exposing people to paintball, especially if it's free to participants.

There will be a charge for the classes. 20 min ish discussion 40 min ish playing. planning on using laser tag equipment for playing since this is an introductory class and has to be portable. The park districts put out brochures in are area.

Might want to also consider a 1-day pass, or some other tangible item to get them to come play.

Advice for the thread: "how to open a paintball store"
NastyShock3r: hey guy's i live in miami i need help to open a paintball store can anyone help or can tell me what i need to do?
midstatepaintball: That's easy! Just push on the front door of the store if it says "push", or pull on the door if it says "pull".

Drop Pev's a line. They do something similar in a summer partnership with George Mason University and they're also holding a "youth" paintball league for kids (8-10 or something similar) this spring. I believe they have a syllabus you might be able to get ahold of that would help you with your planning. Part of what they do is teach the fundamentals of the game and then how to execute them during play.
