gt-r's back seat space is deceptive; there actually is a bit of room because of how deep the seats are. given, the leg room is minimal

I have up to $11,000 to spend on a truck, and need help deciding which make is best to go with. I personally love ram 1500's, I know many people with them that have never had any serious issues with them. But I also love earlier f-150's as well. I've never really looked into chevy's however. Anyway, I'm looking for something from 2000-2005/6, preferably under 90,000 miles, 4wd, 2 1/2 or 4 door, 4.0l+engine. I plan on using it for light work in the summer (landscaping) but I will not be hauling anything over 300lbs. Post up any ideas/suggestions etc etc please.

I'm getting a new car in May..near the end/in June. Not my first car, planning on having somewhere between $15,000-$17,000. I'll be 21 by the time I get it. Been sort of on the fence between a few options. My family (helping slightly because of graduation) thinks I should get something new, like a 2011 Jetta or a Hyundai. I won't ever drive a Hyundai, I can't stand them..I've driven a few. I want something with a little more balls..AWD, preferably manual, and low mileage. Sort of luxury as well. I've been kind of thinking an older e46, an 04-05 or something with as low mileage as I could find. Otherwise, 08 WRX's will sort of be in my range at the time, or a stock 2010 Legacy even. I would've posted in the "first car" thread but yeah it's not my first car and I've been driving for a few years.
04-05 e46 is my top choice at the moment.

Tacoma?
Doesn't sound like you really need much of a big truck for your needs. Might as well go with a smaller truck with better mpg.

Well I wanted to invest in a decent truck now to suit my needs as they grow, instead of ending up having to sell it in two years for a large one.

Honda Civic, Newer Hyundai's/Kia's, Toyota anything, most recent Ford car's, Mazda 3, etc
Pretty much any car besides Chevy and GM maybe. And those are probably still reliable but they're just not really up to par imo to the others.

Range: $7000-9000
Disclaimer: Just started brainstorming a day ago.
2000 or newer Jaguar X-Type, S-Type
1998 Jaguar XK-8
2002 Volvo S40
2000 Lexus SC400
1999 Mercedes-Benz SLK 230
I'll be in graduate school soon and am looking for something with some style, yet something realistic that won't cost me my first born in repairs.

I'm actually leaning lexus sc400, since I used to own an SC300 till some insuranceless idiot in a jeep totaled me. Can't beat their reliability.

Either motor is Toyota and will last forever. As much of a 2J fanboy as I can be, stock for stock I'd probably go with the 1UZ - 256/260 versus 220/220. In that price range, you should be able to get either in great condition though.

Your regular Civics, Accords, Integras, 240s, maybe a 200sx SER or Sentra for that matter, older Corollas or Celicas - I found a Celica All-trac in good condition for $5 grand once, that's a badass car, not sure it gets over 25 mpg though.

If I ever find an all-trac, I'm jumping on it, those were pretty harass cars.
