Yes. Classic and Ripper 1 intimidators can use gen 2 parts without issue.
The biggest difference are going to be the feednecks though as they use a classic threading, not a cocker/2k2/alias threading as those came later.
Also, they were milled out of blank spyder bodies so they use a small spacer on the lower tube as the ram sleeve will stick out because the bodies were shorter then the ram sleeves. That spacer covered up the gap and made it look nicer and covered up the back top of the frames.

Know your history. Intimidators are electro pneumatic spyders and used the spyder design as the base initially before being refined, can't make spimmy projects from the new generation parts for instance. And Egos are based on the intimidator platform.
Interesting time line, no?

Just to add to this as well, there are actually three different feedneck threads on Classics/Rippers. The most common is a Classic Intimidator/Defiant/Bushmaster thread. AGD had a warp feed insert for this thread and CCM sold feednecks cut to this thread as well. CCM is more or less my default for buying feednecks for project Rippers and Classics. So far, all of my Rippers have taken Classic threads.

One of the other cuts was for Impulse/Ion threads. My Black to OD Green Classic Intimidator took this thread.

Some early Intimidators were also Angel threaded.

If you're taking on a project marker to refurbish or looking to swap out parts, be aware that you may have some trial and error to go through in order to get the right feedneck.

Tabs is right about everything else. The Classic and 2K2 wiring is the same. Both take the 12 and 14 pt harnesses and use 2K2 boards. The Classics came with Select Fire Boards and the 2K2's with Semi Only Boards (and later WAS Equalizers or Frenzy boards).

Good luck with your build/project/etc.

To add to this ongoing history discussion...

Back in the early mid 90's Bob had become a legend in the game/sport, both as a Player and an innovative designer and was manufacturing his own line of aftermarket products for all the major Markers on the Market at that time. Mags, Cockers & Spyders mainly and his products were seen on every paintball field across the country.

Eventually he made so many upgrades for Kingman's Spyder Marker that you could swap out enough parts for his and the only thing stock parts you'd be left with were the Body and Detent. It was around this time the phrase "Bob Longed Out Spyder" rose to popularity because everyone who owned a spyder upgraded to Bob Long parts, and at that time just about everyone had a Spyder of some sort in their arsenal. In addition to his aftermarket parts, Bob joined forces with ICD (at that time one of the Largest Marker manufacturers) to design a variant of their successful Bushmaster done to his exacting specs and that Marker was dubbed the Defiant. The Defiant did relatively well and was praised by many in the sport for being noticeably better than the Bushmaster it was built off of.

Building off the demand for his parts over the next few years and the success of the Defiant, Bob decided he was going to build and release his own Super Version of the Spyder which was to be the Millennium Spyder. It would come stock with all his aftermarket Spyder Upgrades stock, and an updated frame and a body that would offer a threaded Vertical feedneck. It was to be the end all-be all of Spyders...

Unfortunately for Bob, it flopped tremendously as sales were stale from the beginning and then they just stopped cold. Faced with having to scrap and lose out on all the Bodies he already had machined, he was facing a huge financial loss/blow. Drawing from his experience with Electro-Pneumatic systems from the Defiant, he set out to devise a way of making these Millenium Spyder Bodies operate as Electro-Pneumatic Markers and after some months of tinkering and engineering, the Intimidator was born. Those Millenium Spyders were then sent to Ripper Machinist to be reworked & retooled and the rest is history. This is why people refer to Timmys as Electro-Pneumatic Spyders but that is in fact, incorrect. The system is proprietary and the fact that it was originally implemented in bodies that were initially machined and devised to be production Spyders is the ONLY Black Cloud for ignant folk who can't look past that fact to see how great the Intimidator platform truly is.

Now you have a slew of inferior Markers based HEAVILY on the Intimidator (I prefer to say THEY BIT HARD!) that many perceive to be better than the Timmy when in fact that is not the case. The Intimidator is the only Marker that has continually evolved every 2-3 years, undergoing various refinements in every new generation improving its performance every time. The GEN5 was probably the biggest jump from the previous generation and the G6R (GEN6) is more refined version of the GEN5 that improved the Intimidator to new heights.

All other Stacked-Tube Poppet Markers with the exception of MacDev (who actually engineers the Cyborg to dawn its own cool and nifty features) are Timmy Knock-Offs with slight modifications to make them "unique".
