Yes, that's one of the original lenses that launched with the EOS system. It uses an old focus motor called Arc Form Drive (AFD). AFD is actually a little better than today's budget micro motors, because the focus ring is decoupled in AF mode. AFD motors are still used in Canon's remaining first-series primes like the 24/2.8.
The focal length and aperture on the 35-70 aren't terribly exciting, but the lens alone is worth about $50.

Thanks guys!
And I know what you mean about number 4 Robin, I said the same thing, but where my room is small it was either her arm was cut off a bit or I would have to back up a bit and then you would have seen my desk

Pretty sure my 1D2n's focusing is off.. has anyone had issues with this ?
Was out shooting some cricket yesterday afternoon with it along with my 300 and 1.4 on and looking through the shots some of them are hideous. Yet going back through some of the ones i took with my 5D a month or so earlier and again with the 300 attached they're perfectly fine. At first i thought oh shutter speed fail but the 1D was shooting at 1/800 and the shots from the 5D were at 1/500.
Also i was doing some searching and found this post from someone and wondered how true it is.
The AF on Canon bodies won't work on anything smaller than the effective aperture value of f/5.6, except for the 1D series bodies, where only the center AF point will work. The Kenko works since it is a 1.4X extender, resulting in an increase of aperture value of only 1-stop. Plus, it doesn't "report" its presence to the body.
