I'll take you up no that if you're serious - I'd only need to have it for a week or less to grab all the relevant poppet dimensions - I wouldn't be planning on changing anything else. I've been meaning to do this for a long time, but it's probably worth it, as the gen4 platform is pretty incredible when it's tuned right.
I am 100% serious. You're a stand up guy and I'd like to help. Just PM me when you're ready for it and I'll ship it to ya.
I also have a 2nd poppet you could use as a guinea pig. Both of mine are the final brass version.
In my experience with GEN4's and Eigenrams, Lurker's spring tension is right on but the angular cut on the one end of the spring is its downfall. I mentioned this to Lurker a few years ago and he said he was looking into finding a new one or figuring out a way to be able to cut it and finish the end properly. Not sure if it was ever done though.
Of the 4 GEN4's brought to me with issues utilizing the Eigenram, I took the liberty id disassembling them to bare bones, cleaned them up properly and re-lubed and reassembled them PROPERLY. Instantly the issues disappeared and all were able to Chrono upwards of 315fps easily.
As with most issues with ANY Intimidator, they usually stem from user error/neglect or someone tinkering with settings looking for the optimum settings known to man when in fact they are making adjustments that hinder performance.

Rob, the tip you had of grinding them flat did work, but I think it may introduce an element of uncertainty into the length - my bench grinder removes steel dimensionally at a frightening rate and I wonder if that has contributed a little.
Custom wound springs would have been a better choice, in retrospect. I was just starting out when we came out with the gen4s.
If you would like more than one marker to test out, My gen 4 has been sitting for almost a year. I put an Eigenram in it and had problems. Tinkered a bit and couldn't get it to work. Always figured I just needed to tinker some more, but just have not had the chance. Since I'm not using the marker anyhow, you could test with it for as long as you would need.
Had one in my old Empire2, and it worked great. I only had problems when I turned the LPR below 50psi. But it was ultra smooth. Smoother than a lot of spoolies I have shot.
