50 cal????
so i havent actually played paintball in like 8 years and want to get back into it. does anyone actually play with 50 cal? will fields let you shoot it at higher velocities to make up for the lack of mass?

Haha, that would never happen, but it might make for a slightly better chance of balls breaking.

Velocity increases aside, the paint breakage issue is rather easily addressed by using better paint. JT Splatmaster paint, to be exact. It is very brittle, dropping from waist high is enough to break it. I've even considered using my Opus' barrel as a blowgun. Despite its brittle shell, I've yet to chop a single ball and the gun eats it like candy. It costs $17/1k rounds, so it doesn't break the bank either.
