Broken Xbox 360 Hard Drive

Okay, so a year or so ago my xbox 360 stopped reading my hard drive. I wanted to repair it but Microsoft just sent me a new hard drive. I have some precious memory on my old hard drive from games and quiet a bit of microsoft points spent on downloadable content. How do I go about getting it repaired? Any place I can send it to?

Thanks!!

You should be able to access your download history on your Xbox profile and re download any DLC you lost
You I suppose you could remove the HD from the casing and try hooking it up to your computer and Cloning it

I know you can redownload DLC but I have soo much, I really don't want to go back and download it all, I have multiple accounts so I don't know what account I used to download what, if that makes sense. And yeah I have been told I can upload it using my computer but I don't want to risk damaging the hard drive any further but if thats my only option I guess I can look up how to do that.

Only option is buying a XB360 Transfer Kit. You would basically hook it up to your USB port on your XB360 w/ new drive in it. Then plug your old HDD into the connector port. If your XB360 is up to date w/ the current dashboard it will automatically detect it and start the process.

You can backup your profiles, DLC, etc. Pretty much everything EXCEPT if you have saved full retail games (using the Install option) for piracy prevention. DLC games, and anything like that is fine, though.

Unfortunately that's about it. The cable is cheap (under 25 bucks) but if your old HDD wont detect at all then it wont matter and the only option is to try and take it apart, but then you're getting into tricky territory.
