Although, hydrographics will wear off.. My old Dm6 was butt ugly after a year of play with it. You could see spots with bare aluminium. Not recommending it.

gotta get them sealed. My Cabelas Raptor is old, and the hydrographics is still holding strong where it wasn't slammed against something metal. no fading or rubbing off.
Maybe your was an inferior job? (just saying)

Here's something y'all might enjoy seeing: a Raptor being used at the 1997 Hyperball Event!

Oh, and here's my father's old Raptor. I don't think it's been gassed up since 1998.

I have an old silver Raptor. Barrel has been shortened in a rather ghetto fashion by the previous owner but it doesn't seem to have affected the accuracy much. It still airs up, and I can only hear a faint fizzle of an air leak. Just needs a nice cleaning and oiling, possibly new rings. Otherwise it's in great shape.
My mom found it at the dump in the "re-use" pile. Someone decided it was junk and left it. I've been using it ever since then and I think it's time for an upgrade. I'm wondering how big the market is for Raptors, and if anyone may be interested in buying it.
Any ideas? If nobody can give it a good home I will just see what kind of twisted abbomination I can turn it into, and I don't mean that in a good way. I'm no airsmith or machine tool operator just yet. It will probably meet an unfortunate demise in my novice hands.

So I have been working on a build up of my raptor cause it was my first gun and i couldn't just let it go. So i figured why not do a build for the first strike rounds, bolt action style. It is just about complete i still need to find a reducer fitting from straight out the body to micro line adapter threads, anyone know where i could find one?

holy crap! this is damn nice work.
As for a reducer, i've made them from raptor braided lines that screw directly into the body. Avail on some silver eagles, more common on some viewloader markers.. I snap off the braided, drill out the center of the fitting and tap 1/8 NPT.
What would you charge for a copy of that work? I LOVE it!

thanks but man idk if i want to do that again. It took an amazing amount of time. Hours of hand working the wood down to what is needed. Though im kinda still tempted to, if you have a drawing of what you want it to look like just send it my way and i will see what i can do and we can maybe talk. But for these I have to have the gun here to build around. There not expensive to build just very labor intensive, something like 100 hours or more each.

O.k here's mine
Here's my Raptor. Pretty much unused until recently (found you all
and the anti-chop mod ). Pretty much stock except for expansion chamber and drop forward.

I had one for awhile (below). It was heavy and loud and the ball detent was horribly designed. I wish I had a better camera back then because the paint job looked a lot better than the picture does it justice and the barrel was sweet also.
