dont get hit in the lens?
not much to it really.
shoot in Aperture priority, use an iso that will give you high shutter speeds, and aim your camera away from people shooting towards you. |

No filters or stacking of filters are strong enough to take a hit head on. Glancing, maybe.
Put a hood to reduce the risk from off angle shots and stay out of the lanes. |

youre better off without a filter, i dont know about the other guys here but i dont use one.
the front glass will stand up to a hit without any issue(aside from needing a good cleaning), but a filter will more than likely break.
if the filter breaks all those glass shards are going to hit your front element and that WILL damage the lens. |
