Hey guys thanks for the input! I'm looking at the subbie and i might just get a new wrx and I'll settle down with it. If I buy used I'm gonna pay extra for insurance, etc.. If I buy new, I will baby it and take care of it for atleast 3 to 5 years(maybe get a better job more moolah later).. but I might also buy some accessories for it nothing major but little things to make it look more stylish and could be a little to boost more horse power. rx8 is a better looking car but I guess I'll go with the more bang for the buck one. I just need a few more reasons why to buy a wrx than an rx8 then I should be set
Btw Adrenaline Junkie, RS4's are nice cars! Was looking at them but kinda out of my price range... Unless I buy used.. I'm kinda not sure when buying used.. No warranties.. have to pay more for insurance.. etc..

Looks good to me.
Any FWD car is going to be at least as good in the snow as that A5.

Impala SS's are nice cars. Not my favorite looking car, or the best interior, but it'll do fine in winter, especially if you get winter tires. I'd have to assume the 5.3 wouldn't be great on gas though.

Would probably make it a little bit harder to handle in the snow as well.

2005 Nissan Maxima SE
75k
$10k
Worth it? It seems to be in good condition, but all the reliability problems scare me...
Looking at g6 gtp's, impala ltz's as well
And to the above, impala SS's get decent mileage due to active displacement.

just enough of an engine to get to 60mph in like 9 seconds. I've been driving a minivan for a while, so anything will be an improvement.
I've done lots of mechanic work before, so I could possibly buy a fixer upper.

focus SVT or 2.3 , Escort Zx2, Integra, Protege?(not too keen on 0-60 figures for the protege), prelude (there will be a trade-off some mileage for refinement vs the integra).
These are just some cars to consider. Do you have a preference for fwd/awd/rwd; sedan, coupe, hatch, wagon? Sportyness?

No, not really, pretty much just care about what I listed. When I said 0-60 I just basically meant it can get to highway speeds in less than minivan time, lol.
I don't know if I'd be able to afford a Prelude or not. Or at least find one I would actually want around here.

Want to get a decent pickup. Currently have a 1999 Ford explorer with 179,930 miles. On a really tight budget, gas prices and the mileage my car gets is killing me. Would want to trade in my current car for this...

What do you think?

I'd really like something with some get up and go, however, i've got unique snowflake syndrome, so not your usual under 10k go fast cars (yes i realize for 7.5k i can build a *****in foxbody, so does every other jackhole out there)
prefer european, would really prefer VAG.
tl;dr:
high priority:
under 7.5k
fun to drive
not fwd
medium priority:
semi unique/rare
not *** ugly
euro
low priority:
gas milage
reliability
vw/audi/seat/skoda/porsche/lambo/bentley/bugatti
I'm currently looking at audi coupe quattros, or if i can find a steal on a b5 s4, but neither of those are especially plentiful, so i was hoping for some other suggestions to broaden my search a smidge.

I wouldn't buy a $7.5k S4
Coupe Quattro, CA S4, or Corrado if you'll go fwd. You could a B5 A4+suspension and chip for that too. E30, E36 M3/325
