Y'all need to see this

I don't know if any of you know this, if it's old news or whatever, but I just found this article on the internets.
dont feed your balls to your dog
I've never let my dog eat my paintballs, seeing as how theyre safe for human consumption I never thought they'd harm dogs.
This was a little eye opening, and sorry if this is a repost, but I couldn't find anything on it here.

My dog has snuck a few over the years, but never in 'a large amount' at one time and has shown no side effects. And 'non-toxic' labels refer to human consumption, not animal consumption. You won't see a warning label on chocolate about dogs eating it.

My brother-in-law's German Shepherd eats as many as he can get his mouth on. If you drop any, he's on 'em. Can't pull him away or try and pick them up because he'll forget about the balls and g for your face. I'll have to show him this article.

I knew they were safe for humans, and I think in the article it says the dog ate a crap-load

Yeah my dog chases them as I shoot them, if they don't break, she picks them up and eats them. She's never gotten sick though. I knew a guy who owned a field down the road a few years ago, and he used to feed his dog paintballs like they were treats. Shes still kicking and in good health, just must be large amounts

I read a similar article once. I think the animal would have to eat around ten thousand according to the article I read. I'll try to find it.

Yeah a few paintball dogs that I hang around they ALWAYS eat paintballs off the ground, depending on the day sometimes a half a bag if not more, one is a rotti and the other is a golden lab. The only thing they get is the runs, other then that they are fine

I used to run a field and my American bulldog would go out on the field and eat as many as she could find and she never got sick it anything so It must just be a fluke thing or my dog just had an iron digestive tract

i have read a few different places that they can be harmful for dogs, usually it has said in larger quantities but i sure wouldn't risk it. my dog has gotten a few but its easy enough to avoid.
