Yes, do some ****ing research. It's a reduced recoil load.

And they still blow through ****ing walls like it is their job. If your situation allows for a 12ga to work, great. They are effective as hell. You can even scare them away by racking the action. My situation is obviously different as I need to be concerned with other people throughout the house. A fast 75gr 5.56 that is proven to fall apart in drywall is my preference. I do not have the advantage of scaring them away by the sound of it, but that is a concession I must make.

Thank you.

Okay well agree to disagree. You like shottys for HD, I like the 5.45x39. Arguing over fixing drywall is kind of a waste of time, I mean if you actually had balls you would know how to do these things, anyways....
Primo most people in foreign countries would love to own the kind of things we can here in the US. That's why their fun, because when my cousins in Europe call and ask what I'm doing I can say, " Oh, playing with my fully legal AK/AR/Sig and not getting locked up lololol"
Range report on ar coming soon

I would skip the piston kit. Was that the total price for the whole gun and ammo?

Yep everything. Honestly, haven't shot it yet, don't know TOO much about AR's, I'm an absolute AK guru though. All my friends run the Adam Arms short stroke piston in theirs and they love it, I've seen them bump fire a 150rds beta mag and the bolt come out cold. Was thinking about selling it, buying one of those spike 5.45 uppers or that one LWRC makes.
Georgia (country) is thinking about switching from the AK-74 to these http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0N7X0...eature=related

I would just keep it DI. You should be able to do the same, except the bolt will be hot. Remember that if the bolt is not getting hot, instead something else is. With the right lube, and enough of it, you shouldnt have any issues that the piston people claim are major problems.

Yea, I keep thinking to myself it may just be one more thing that could go wrong, but I'll see how it works Saturday, going to run 1080 rds through her and see what happens.

My buddy's father-in-law saw my AR and said "When I move to America, I buy one! Just like that!" in his thick Russian accent.
If you had balls, you would bust through the walls without a gun... like the ****ing Coolaid Man. Oh yea!

I would take a pistol over a rifle for HD. A hollowpoint .45 stands little to no chance of exiting.

OH! I forgot that .45 ACP is an absolute death ray, yea that's right, forgot about that. There are plenty of people in the ER who have been shot multiple times by them and live. It aint the bullet, it's where you shoot them. Which is why 5.45 is what I prefer, it goes 3000fps like a little steel cored lawnmower blade in your body. All handgun rounds suck, period. They're a back up weapon designed to get you to what you WANT to be shooting someone with.

If you've been shot centermass with .45 hollowpoints I assure you you aren't just chillin' in the ER

Go talk to some LA state troopers about that......
This is the problem with just about every other actual "gun forum", it turns into a caliber war to which there is no end. This thread is now about GUNS YOU OWN

A caliber war where not everyone fully understands the rounds being discussed.
