New 2011 Mps Series/es Series Information- Look

* I would like to thank everyone for patiently waiting as we figure out on what changes we were going to make to the series for 2011. We have done a lot, and first off we are starting everything from fresh. We have decided to change the name of the series from Midwest Paintball Series to the Elite Sports Race To Series/ES Race To Series. Some things will remain the same, but we have decided to change Entry Fees, Number of Events, Prize package, and are trying to give the players a Series that will give back to them. Now on to the Information.

Elite Sports Race To Series

This is a series of 4 events with no running points. Each team must play 2 of the 3 preliminary events to qualify for the finals. Teams will be bracketed based on seed points from the previous event for the finals. The final event will be just like the original 3 as is related to the prize package, but the winner of the FINAL event in each division will win the series prizes!

To clarify why we are not doing a running points race is due to the fact that throughout the years, we have noticed that teams will slowly drop out in the fight for the series prize due to cost.

Event Dates and Locations
Only May and July Event Dates are Tentative- Will be able to confirm shortly
Event 1- Pb Ridge- Joplin, MO; March 19th & 20th
Event 2- Graffiti Pb- Belleplaine, KS; May 7th & 8th
Event 3- PBCOC- Choctaw, OK; July 9th & 10th
Event 4- Elite Complex- Salina, KS; September 24th & 25th- ES Championship

RPS Premium $53.00
RPS Allstar $57.00

ES series has decided to go with a cash prize for the 2011 season due to in the past number of teams require for that prize would sometimes not meet quota.

3-Man Beginner- Comparison L4 or a Player with no tournament experience
30 Team Cap- Minimum of 8 Teams to hold the Division.
Entry: $85.00 for Early, $135.00 for Late
(Prepay for Entire series $250.00. SAVE $90.00!!)
Prizes: 70% of Entries Collected back to the winners
Ex. 8 Teams=
1st- 200 Cash w/ event medals
2nd- 150 Cash w/ event medals
3rd- 75 Cash w/ event medals
4th- 3 event medals
Series Prize: 3- Invert Mini's & Invert Halo 2's & Series Trophy
- Need 8 Team Minimum over 4 events to Guarantee Series Prize-

3-Man Rookie- Comparison L3 or a player with lots of tourney experience ( NO National experience at all, No exceptions)
30 Team Cap- Minimum of 8 Teams to hold the Division
Entry: $165.00 for Early, $215.00 for Late
(Prepay for Entire Series $510.00,SAVE $150.00!!)
Prizes: 70% of Entries Collected back to the winners
Ex. 8 Teams=
1st- 500 Cash w/ event medals
2nd- 300 Cash w/ event medals
3rd- 100 Cash w/ event medals
4th- 3 event medals
Series Prize: 3 Empire Axe's,Empire Prophecy's, Empire Events & Series Trophy
- Need 8 Team Minimum over 4 events to Guarantee Series Prize-

5-Man Novice( Race To 2)- Comparison of L2/ or D3 and Under
16 Team Cap- Minimum of 8 Teams to hold a Division
Entry: $250.00 for Early, $300.00 for Late
(Prepay for Entire Series $795.00, SAVE $205.00!!)
Prizes: 70% of Collected Entries back to winners
Ex. 8 Teams=
1st- 800 Cash w/ event medals
2nd- 400 Cash w/ event medals
3rd- 200 Cash w/ event medals
4th- 5 Event medals
Series Prize: 2000 Cash w/ 10 Cases of Ultra Evil & Series Trophy
-Needed 8 Team Minimum over 4 events to Guarantee Series Prize

What are the marker rules as far markers (BPS, firing modes, batteries)? And If I played one event last year in L3 and lost somewhat miserably, could i play L4? I'm asking because I don't want to be accused of sandbagging so don't even start with the stupid comments guys

In the past, the series in the beginner division they have had anywhere from 6 to 20 teams and in the Rookie division there has been anywhere from the 10 to 25 teams. And first event will be awesome, PB Ridge has some really great fields along with some good little extras.

I will post up a Thread about the first event 2nd weekend in Feb. So then it would be about a month before the event.
